Deadline for application is by the October meeting of the award year 

          The annual $500 TBG scholarship is for active members in good standing.  Applications will be screened by the Scholarship Committee for eligibility and a drawing of an eligible application will be held at each December Guild meeting.  The scholarship is valid for a course of instruction at any blacksmithing school and must be used within 1 year from the date of award.  Recipients of the TBG scholarship are ineligable to reapply for a period of 5 years.

         Active  membership is defined as; paid up dues, attends regular meetings, participates in public Guild demonstrations and other guild activities and is qualified as at least a "Beginner" in accordance with the TBG Blacksmith Certification Program.

 If awarded this scholarship, I agree to the following; 

      1.  Following the class, submit a "How To" article for the TBG newsletter within 3 months.

      2.  Demonstrate class techniques to TBG members at a monthly Guild meeting within 1 year of the class.

      3.  Provide a forged item reflective of skills / techniques learned for the TBG December Iron IN The Hat.
